Hi doctors report uterus appears anteverted with dimensions of 107 x 68x89mm the myometrium appears heterogeneous with two intramural fibroids measuring 31 x 28 mm and 58 x 47. the larger fibroid is located inthe upper posterior wall. a 9mm secretory phase endometrium is seen. the krft ovar measures 13cc. A22x15mm simple cyst si seen in this ovary the right ovary measures 7cc and appears normal . no free fluid is seen. Could you explain this and do I need to take out my womb.
Your ultrasound finding suggest that there are two fibroids in the uterus. Fibroid is a benign tumour of uterus and its treatment depend upon many things like age, symptoms, family is completed or not. Fibroid can be managed by conservative means or by surgery. It need proper evaluation. Its treatment is not always surgical.
Findings also suggests a small simple left ovarian cyst. Cysts are generally fluid containing structures. Simple ovarian cysts usually only require follow up ultrasound. There are chances of spontaneous regression as it is small in size. Simple cysts are generally asymptomatic but they may require treatment if there is infection, enlargement in size etc.
Rest of the findings are normal.
